<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive split permanent magnet in which magnet eddy loss can be reduced without lowering the yield of a magnet material while ensuring excellent productivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the split permanent magnet 16, one permanent magnet mass 31 is split into a plurality of split pieces 32 by cutting. On at least one of the cutting surfaces 32a, facing each other, of adjoining split pieces 32, raised laser irradiation scars 33 are formed by laser irradiation. A lump of the split permanent magnet 16 is formed by mutually abutting the cutting surfaces 32a, facing each other, of adjoining split pieces 32 via the laser irradiation scars 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
