摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a solar cell using a silicon single material that since an absorbable photon flow is limited, the conversion efficiency of a thin-film silicon solar cell or a bulk silicon solar cell is limited, and that although a photon flow can be absorbed more than that by forming a multi-junction solar cell with a germanium solar cell, a series-coupled silicon solar cell and germanium solar cell which has hitherto been conceived has difficulty in current matching and is impractical. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention focuses on the fact that the output voltage of a Pn-junction type silicon solar cell is approximately 0.6 V, which is twice the output voltage 0.3 V of a pn-junction type germanium solar cell. FIG. 2 shows the concept of the present invention. When two pn-junction type germanium solar cells are connected in series, an output voltage of 0.6 V is obtained, so that if they are connected in parallel with a pn-junction type silicon solar cell, their voltages are matched simply and, hence, current matching is unnecessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
