<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel capable of expanding an active area and having good reliability in connection between a transparent electrode and a connection part, and a display device having the touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel 1 is obtained by connecting a touch panel sensor 2 with a flexible substrate 3. The touch panel sensor 2 includes: a first transparent substrate 16 having, on one face thereof, a first transparent electrode 19 with plural first sensor electrodes placed in parallel with one another at a predetermined interval and first extraction wiring 4 made of a metal material; a second transparent substrate 17 having, in a direction orthogonal to the first transparent electrode 19, a second transparent electrode 20 with plural second sensor electrodes placed in parallel with one another at a predetermined interval and plural second extraction wiring pieces 6 made of a metal material and a resin material; and an adhesion layer 18 adhering the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate. The other face of the first transparent substrate 16 faces a face of the second transparent substrate 17 with the second transparent electrode 20 and the second extraction wiring pieces 6 placed thereon, and the first transparent substrate 16 is laminated on the second transparent substrate 17 through the adhesion layer 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
