<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a television set capable of easily performing work for covering a first panel with a second panel. <P>SOLUTION: A television set according to an embodiment is provided with an exterior cover, a first panel and a second panel. The first panel has a display surface. The second panel is placed on the first panel so as to cover a display surface of the first panel. A holding member is secured to an edge portion of the second panel. The holding member has a projection projecting on a periphery of the second panel. Further, the exterior cover is provided with a receiving section. The projection butts against the receiving section in such a manner that the second panel is inclined into an attitude obliquely oriented with respect to the first panel. The second panel is rotated toward the first panel about a leading end of the projection butting against the receiving section of the exterior cover as a supporting point.
