[Problem] To provide a wheel coating method that uses a coating composition that can form a coating film having anticorrosive properties that can prevent corrosion even with use in areas where salt damage is easily incurred and having superior beauty characteristics. [Solution] In the aluminum wheel coating method, an anticorrosive coating composition is applied onto the aluminum wheel, and thereafter, a clear coating composition is applied to form a transparent multilayer coating film. The anticorrosive coating composition for the aluminum wheel coating method contains an acrylic resin (1), which has a mass average molecular weight of 50,000 - 140,000, a glass transition point of 20 - 50°C, hydroxyl value of 10 - 50 mg KOH/g, and acid value of 10 - 40 mg KOH/g, and an epoxy resin (2) having an epoxy equivalent of 210 - 1000 g/eq. The anticorrosive coating composition contains 5 - 20 parts by mass in a solid part conversion of the epoxy resin (2) to 100 parts by mass of the solid portion of the acrylic resin (1). |
