PURPOSE: An engine system using the brown gas, a ship having the same, and a driving method of an engine using the brown gas are provided to constantly supply the brown gas to a brown gas generator with a small capacity. CONSTITUTION: An engine system(100) using the brown gas comprises an engine, a brown gas generator(110), a cold box unit(120), a liquefied brown gas tank(150), a brown gas heater(156), and a brown gas injector(190). The cold box unit liquefies brown gas generated from the brown gas generator. The liquefied brown gas tank is supplied with a liquid brown gas from the cold box unit. The brown gas heater vaporizes gas by heating the liquefied brown gas supplied from the liquefied brown gas tank. The brown gas injector is supplied with the brown gas from the brown gas heater, and injects the brown gas to the engine.
