<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser lap welding method in which the hole and shrinkage cavity of a welding terminal part can be improved while evading the increase in a space and a cycle time required for securing a welding length without requiring complicated control such as laser focal point control. <P>SOLUTION: In the laser lap welding method by irradiating of a laser beam from one side of a plurality of overlapped pieces (1, 2) to perform welding to a prescribed section, the method includes the steps of: scanning (La) the laser beam in the forward direction along the prescribed section of the workpieces; reversing the scanning direction of the laser beam at a terminating direction of the laser beam at a terminating end (t) of the prescribed section; scanning (Lb) the laser beam in the backward direction in such a manner that the laser scanning in the forward direction and a part of weld beads (11, 12) are mutually shifted so as to be superimposed to complete the laser irradiation in the section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
