<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in photographing by shortening an exposure time for every frame and shortening a time related to an AF control process. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone 10 includes a camera module 36 including an image sensor (52), an AE evaluation circuit (60) and the like. When a camera function is executed, an exposure is adjusted such that an exposure evaluation value becomes an exposure target value and the AF control process is executed. For example, when a shutter key is operated, the exposure target value is changed to an AF control exposure target value that is lower than a general photographing exposure target value. Additionally, the frame rate is increased according to the change in the exposure target value such that the exposure evaluation value correlated with the frame rate becomes within the exposure target value.
