<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine that prevents the pollution of the surroundings with the lubricant leaked from the bearing, along with preventing the heat generation. <P>SOLUTION: The sewing machine is provided with a lower rotating shaft 36 in a bed portion 21. A bearing portion 50 provided in the left side of the lower rotating shaft 36 receives the lower rotating shaft 36. A bearing supporting portion 61 provided in the bed portion 21 supports the bearing portion 50. In the bearing supporting portion 61, Bearing hole portions 62 and 63 penetrating through the lower rotating shaft 36 are provided in the left side and right side of the bearing portion 50. Lubricant groove portions 64 and 65 are provided along the inner surrounding walls of the bearing hole portions 62 and 63, respectively. The lubricant groove portions 64 and 65 can receive the leaked lubricant, when the lubricant supplied in the bearing portion 50 through a first supplying pass leaks out through a gap between a penetrating hole 51 of the bearing portion 50 and the lower rotating shaft 36.
