The invention relates to illuminating means (10) comprising nanoscale structures (16) emitting visible light, characterised in that at least in certain areas, at least one device emitting light by means of nanoscale, luminescent, structures is arranged in a manner such that it extends in a flat manner along the rotational surface on or in a support (18) embodied as a dimensionally stable rotational surface and made of a layer or a layer arrangement. Preferably, said nanoscale structures are formed at least partially as quantum-dots in the form of atom clusters. The aim of the invention with respect to prior art is to create illumination means which have, without a filter, an improved, spectral emission characteristic and at the same time improved light output with respect to known illuminating means. |
