The socket (01) has a can lid (04) with different attachment positions, which is arranged on can base (03). A positive contact (05) and a negative contact (08) are provided in the socket base and the mating contacts are positioned in the can lid so that in each attachment position of lid the positive counter-contact (23) is contacted with positive contact and negative counter-contact (24) is contacted with negative contacts. The attachment position of lid on the can base after a predetermined alignment of connecting cables (30,32) for photovoltaic module (02) is selected.
