Guide members 5 for the spindles which support the yarn packages in winding or like textile machines have slots or grooves 5a for supporting and guiding the ends of the spindles, in the form of an arc of a circle concentric with a supporting rod 6. Guide members are arranged at each end of the spindle so that the package being wound thereon rests on the driving drum 1 and the spindles are guided in the slots as the package increases in diameter. Grooves 5a are provided on both sides of the guide member and guide members are preferably arranged in pairs bolted to each other about the rod 6 by bolts 7 so as to serve both sides of the machine. |
