PURPOSE: A song accompanying machine and a control method thereof are provided to increase reliability of a song score result by a high voice recognition rate. CONSTITUTION: A voice score marking device(10) includes a voice recognizing unit, a word data analyzing unit, and a score calculating unit. The voice recognizing unit recognizes voices for words of data which are generated in an A/D(Analog/Digital) converter. The word data analyzing unit determines the matching level between word voice data of the voice recognizing unit and word data of a word data storage unit. The score calculating unit calculates a song score by information of the word data analyzing unit. A control unit(57) displays the calculated score on a display.
