PURPOSE: An auction system of advertisement and a method thereof using a digital content rank are provided to maximize effect of advertisement by enabling an advertiser to reflect content as an advertiser desires. CONSTITUTION: Database(250) stores a plurality of contents, meta information, content popularity information, and a user profile. A controller(210) streams the content, which is stored in the database, and offers the content to a user. The controller supplies advertisement by adding the advertisement to the streaming content. An advertisement auction manager(240) receives bids of advertisers according to a predetermined auction method. The advertisement auction manager determines the advertiser about the content.
