<p>Curved Planar Reformation (CPR), producing a Curved Planar Reformat, is a technique to provide a representation of an anatomical structure which is curved through a 3D volume. This reformation process can result in image artifacts, leaving it up to the user to determine what are artifacts and what are actual anatomical features. The invention provides assistance to the user by detecting areas of potential ambiguity during the CPR procedure, and distinguishing these areas on the display to the user. In this way, the user no longer needs detailed knowledge of how the CPR is performed.</p> |
