The connecting element (2) has a C-profile rail (3) whose one front side is open and the other front side is closed with a closing panel (5). The width of the closing panel corresponds to the C-profile of the connecting element. The closing panel forms a projection (6) over the open side of the C-profile rail in the longitudinal direction. The C-profile rail and the closing panel are provided with through holes (7,7').
