Novelty: A detachable diving belt weight provided with a sliding securing and unsecuring mechanism and a return retaining ring facilitating the fitting of the diving hooking means is disclosed. Constitution: The main body of the diving weight equipped with the sliding securing and unsecuring mechanism (1) covered with the elastic housing (2), the base of the diving belt weight being fixed via screws (12), having the sliding securing and unsecuring mechanism (9) and bearing the round hole (17) securing the diving belt; the securing and unsecuring piston (4) the movement and stabilization of which at the unsecuring position are assisted by the return spring (3) and maintained by the base of the sliding securing and unsecuring button (5), said base being fixed by two screws (6,7); a sliding securing and unsecuring button (8) the lower side of which is configurated in two planes connected via an inclined slider to cause the movement of the securing and unsecuring piston (4) from and to the diving belt (10) featuring any thickness and material. The path of the sliding securing and unsecuring button is restricted to the desired limits via a retaining screw (11).
