<p>Use of a hormone combination of at least an estrogen from ethinyl estradiol (I) and estradiol (II) and at least metabolites of chlormadinone acetate e.g. 3alpha -hydroxy-6-chloro-17alpha -acetoxy-4,6-pregnadiene-20-one (3alpha -hydroxy-chlormadione acetate), optionally mixed with chlormadione acetate as gestagen components, for the production of a medicament for the reduction of menstruation cycle-dependent mood changes and optionally for hormonal contraception in women. Use of a hormone combination of at least an estrogen from ethinyl estradiol (I) and estradiol (II) as estrogen components and at least metabolites of chlormadinone acetate from 3alpha -hydroxy-6-chloro-17alpha -acetoxy-4,6-pregnadiene-20-one (3alpha -hydroxy-chlormadione acetate), 3beta -hydroxy-6-chloro-17alpha -acetoxy-4,6-pregnadiene-20-one (3beta -hydroxy-chlormadione acetate), 3alpha -hydroxy-6-chloro-17alpha -acetoxy-5beta -pregnane-20-one and 3alpha -hydroxy 17alpha -acetoxy-5beta -pregnane-20-one, optionally mixed with chlormadione acetate as gestagen components, for the production of a medicament for the reduction of menstruation cycle-dependent mood changes and optionally for hormonal contraception in women.
