A screening system made up of polyurethane bars which are held firmly in place onto structural steel stringers. The bars are secured by pins. The polyurethane bars are provided with pockets on the sides which match steel bars which are resiliently and forcibly placed across the direction of flow of the material being screened. The steel bars are further held in position by means of a polyurethane cap.
