The plate has an opening (2) for attaching a gas burner (3), and a circumferential outer edge (4) provided with a polygonal contour. A round or curved stage (5) runs from the outer edge towards the opening. A region (11) is formed along the outer edge for supporting on a hob panel (6), where the plate is formed as a thermal shield in type of a polygonal panel for thermal shielding of the hob panel. The hob panel is partially made of hard glass or glass ceramics or sheet metal. A pan carrier (7) is fixed on the region in a form-fit manner. An independent claim is also included for a gas hob. |
