Wood part for improving defects in wooden components

The wood patch part (1) is inserted in a recess within wood component. An upper side and a lower side are provided with outwardly curved contour. A sheet connection element is provided at the lower side in rectangular cross-section. The sheet connection element runs in longitudinal direction (L) of the wood patch part. An independent claim is also included for a method for repairing defects in wood components.
