<p>The shaft has a pin (170) passing radially through an insert (140) and a body. Reinforcing elements e.g. fibers (134), partially surround the pin such that the pin maintains the elements in an interface area (138) during manufacture of the shaft and/or when forces are exerted on the shaft. The insert is provided with a recess (168) for receiving a winding portion (136) of the elements surrounding the pin so as to maintain axially and/or tangentially the elements between the recess and the pin in the interface area. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabrication of a shaft.</p> |
