Headings H2A, H2B and H2K. A split-phase motor has a temperaturesensitive protective switch 13 situated in a stator slot 20 between the main and starting windings 23, 24. The switch, Fig. 3, 13 consists of a pair of dished or arcuate plates 25, 29, each making thermal contact with one of the windings. Plate 29 is bimetallic so that at a certain temperature it moves away from contact 27 to de-energize the motor.</p> |
