PURPOSE: A method for treating ADHD is provided to enhance treatment efficiency through low side effect profile. CONSTITUTION: A method for treating ADHD comprise a step of administering therapeutically effective amount of a compound of structural formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compound of structural formula 1 is an enantimer-free antipode or antipode mixture. The antipode is (R)-(beta-amino-benzen propyl)carbamate. A pharmaceutical composition for treating ADHD contains therapeutically effective amount of the compound of structural formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
