PURPOSE: An apparatus for maintaining temperatures is provided to drink hot beverage by heating various kinds of containers and to facilitate use of the container in every where. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for maintaining temperatures(100) comprises a case(110), a supporting unit(120), a surface carbon heater(130), a temperature sensor(140), a detection sensor(150), and a control part(160). The temperature sensor is installed between the surface carbon heater and the rear side of a receiving groove(111a) to detect temperatures. The detection sensor is installed in the inner circumference of the case and detects whether a container for receiving drinking water is received or not. The control part is mounted on the case to apply power to the surface carbon heater corresponding to signals detecting from the detection sensor and the temperature sensor.
