PURPOSE: A fiber-optic respiration sensor of the thermochromic microcapsule pigment base and a fiber-optic respiration sensor system are provided to enhance the quality of a radiological image by controlling fine movement due to a respiratory motion of a patient. CONSTITUTION: A respiration sensing film(1) is attached to a plastic pipe(2). The plastic pipe is combined with one end of optical fiber(3). The respiration sensing film mixes thionic pigment powder and transparent optics epoxy. The respiration sensing film compresses and dries a mixture. The respiration sensing film is formed into a thin film type. The respiration sensing film is composed of a light source(4), a Y- coupler(5), a light detector(6), and a display device.
