PURPOSE: An apparatus for supporting high speed mobile terminal in a distributed antenna system and a method thereof are provided to embody high data transmission rate while lowering power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A base station performs grouping for new terminal based on location speed information(1210). The base station calculates in-cell service end timing about the corresponding terminal or the terminal group. The base station calculates service handover timing about the next adjacent antenna node(1214). The base station acquires information for the terminal or the terminal group from a central controller or the previous adjacent antenna node(1216). The base station performs communication service(1218).
