PURPOSE: A multi-view video encoding device and a method thereof are provided to determine a prediction vector having high compression performance and to encode a current block by using the determined prediction vector. CONSTITUTION: A prediction vector extracting unit(201) extracts a spatial prediction vector of a current block. An index transmitting unit(202) transmits an index for identifying the spatial prediction vector to a multi view video decoding unit(102) through bit stream. The multi-view video encoding unit extracts the index of the prediction vector from the received bit stream. The multi-view video encoding device determines the spatial prediction vector as a final prediction vector based on the index.
