PURPOSE: A multi-purpose safety tong for a kitchen is provided to improve marketability by reducing the number of components and to operate a gripping unit with less power while improving gripping force of the gripping unit. CONSTITUTION: A multi-purpose safety tong for a kitchen comprises an upper unit(10), a gripping unit(11), a silicon cap(12), an operating gear(30), an elastic spring(51), a lower unit(20), a fixing gear(40), and a releasing button(30-1). The silicon cap covers the gripping unit at the head of the upper unit. The operating gear and the elastic spring are coupled to a handle. The fixing gear is coupled to the lower unit corresponding to the operating gear so that cooking containers can be gripped regardless of thickness thereof. The tong is released by the releasing button from a gripping state. |
