PURPOSE: A method for detecting a target object and a radar apparatus are provided to prevent signal interference by accurately detecting a target object without misidentifying the target object. CONSTITUTION: A signal transmitting part(110) transmits a transmission signal for each transmission cycle and transmits the transmission signal by changing a transmission frequency band for each transmission cycle within an available frequency band. A signal receiving part(120) receives a reflected signal of transmitted transmission signals. An interference signal elimination part(130) passes the received signal through a filter and eliminates an interference signal. A target object detection part(140) detects a target object based on the received signal from which the interference signal is removed.
