<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element material which can be used for enhancement of photoelectric conversion efficiency, a photoelectric conversion element using the photoelectric conversion element material, and a solar cell and a solar cell module using the photoelectric conversion element. <P>SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element material contains a phosphole compound represented by a general formula (1).
