<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image printer including a colorant remaining amount adjusting function for balancing an amount of remaining colorant. <P>SOLUTION: The image printer including colorants of a plurality of colors is capable of performing color printing and includes a painterly image conversion function for converting a photographic image into a painterly image. The image printer includes a remaining amount information detection means for detecting a remaining amount information of the colorants, a means for determining necessity/unnecessity of color tone correction which determines whether the color tone correction is necessary or not based on the remaining amount information of the colorants detected by the remaining amount information detection means, a color tone correction pattern storing means for storing information of a plurality of color tone correction patterns, a corresponding information storage means for storing corresponding information which is information of correspondence relationship between the plurality of color tone correction patterns and the remaining amount information of the colorants, a color tone correction means for converting a color tone of an image, a painterly image converting means for converting an image into a painterly image, a printing means for printing the painterly image converted by the painterly image converting means, and a printing control means for controlling the printing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
