<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of an installation part of an operation member, in a structure for installing the operation member by welding. <P>SOLUTION: This seat slide device 10 includes a lower rail 20 fixed to a vehicle body floor, an upper rail 30 slidable to the lower rail 20, a lock member 40 engageable with/disengageable from an engaging part possessed in the upper rail 30 and the lower rail 20, the operation member 50 for switching engagement/disengagement of the upper rail 30 and the lower rail 20 of the lock member 40, and a connecting member 60 for connecting the operation member 50 and the upper rail 30. The connecting member 60 includes an energizing member 61 for energizing the operation member 50 in the anti-lock releasing direction, a shaft 62 pressed in a through-hole possessed in the energizing member 61, and a tilting plate 63 tiltably supported by the shaft 62.
