<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for an oscillation device, capable of reducing unnecessary power consumption by using a peak hold circuit (or bottom hold circuit) that requires no transient power consumption, and keeping an oscillation characteristic intact by suppressing noise. <P>SOLUTION: An oscillation device includes: a constant voltage generation circuit 4 for generating a reference voltage; an oscillation circuit 1 configured to oscillate on a driving voltage or driving current; a peak hold circuit 2 for detecting and outputting a peak level of an oscillation signal output from the oscillation circuit 1; and a regulator 3 for inputting the driving voltage or driving current controlled in accordance with a reference voltage VREF generated by the constant voltage generation circuit 4 and the peak level PH output by the peak hold circuit 2 into a power terminal VR of the oscillation circuit 1. The peak hold circuit 2 is configured to operate on a constant current and not to consume transient power.
