<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opto-electric composite substrate and a method for manufacturing the substrate having little misalignment between an optical waveguide and a wiring pattern. <P>SOLUTION: The opto-electric composite substrate includes a core pattern for optical signal transmission, a core pattern for a resist, a wiring pattern, a patterned lower clad layer and an upper clad layer. The wiring pattern and the core pattern for a resist are embedded in a patterned opening of the lower clad layer, and the wiring pattern is interposed by the core pattern for a resist in any one direction intersecting the stacking direction of layers.
