<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved exhaust performance in a steam turbine. <P>SOLUTION: A turbine 100 includes an inner casing 106, a rotor 108 extending in the longitudinal direction AA of the turbine 100, and a plurality of rows of buckets 112 transversely disposed on the rotor 108. A bearing cone 120 covers a part of the rotor 108 and a flow guide 118 extends from the inner casing 106. The bearing cone 120 and the flow guide 118 define an annular passage 116 for flow of exhaust gases. Flow guiding elements are used to facilitate the flow of exhaust gas. The flow guiding elements include such elements as a guide cap 124 having a streamlined surface 130/an airfoil shape provided in a downstream direction of the flow guide 118. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
