<p>The apparatus has a fuel pressure sensor (20) that detects the pressure of fuel injected by a fuel injector (10). The change of fuel pressure is detected by a fuel pressure waveform detecting unit based on detected value of sensor, and a fuel pressure curve. An engine operating condition is forcibly changed, so that a value indicating the engine operating condition is acquired in accordance with a reference value. An injection characteristic value of the fuel is calculated based on fuel pressure curve if the engine operating condition is changed by force.</p> |
