PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for managing local storage of an on-demand content.

SOLUTION: An on-demand system and method for managing the on-demand content which is locally stored are provided. A user device controls deletion of the on-demand content from a local storage device and/or access to the on-demand content based on a constraint criterion including a rental condition, a dynamic factor and a key. This invention provides the user device equipped with an on-demand client, and the user device is configured to store at least a part of the on-demand content and a processing circuit.
