<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket with low costs, to which a straight pipe type LED lamp having an L-shaped pin can be mounted by rotation. <P>SOLUTION: An LED lamp 300 provided with an L-shaped pin 310 comprising a contact piece 311 and an extension piece 312 extending from a tip of the contact piece 311 is mounted to a lamp socket A. The lamp socket A comprises a socket body 3, on the front face of which an insertion hole 50a is formed; and a conductive plate 2 formed into an approximately belt shape and arranged at a position facing the insertion hole 50a in the socket body 3. One face of the conductive plate 2 is opposed to an axis of the insertion hole 50a, and a space S1 is provided between the other face and the inner face of the socket body 3, and a space S2 is provided between a bottom face 40 and the conductive plate 2. A space S3 forming the space S2 and a rotation space S4 is provided between the space S1 and the bottom face 40, and the pin 310 is inserted from the insertion hole 50a.
