<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillation device in which the directivity of sound waves can be narrowed with high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An elongated elastic member 120 having opposite ends to which a pair of piezoelectric elements 110 are attached individually is supported, in the center, by a plurality of support members 130. Since a cantilever supporting structure is utilized, sound wave radiation parts are limited to the opposite ends of a piezoelectric vibrator consisting of the elastic member 120 and the piezoelectric element 110. Consequently, the sound wave radiation parts of adjoining piezoelectric vibrators can be brought close to each other when a plurality of piezoelectric vibrators are arranged. In other words, phase cancelling of sound waves oscillated from adjoining piezoelectric vibrators can be suppressed by controlling the distance between the piezoelectric vibrators in the short diameter direction, and thereby the directivity of sound waves can be narrowed with high efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
