COATED PAPER HAVING A COATED STRUCTURE IN WHICH THE LATEX DISTRIBUTION IS CONTROLLED AND A PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

The present invention relates to: a coated paper having a coated structure in which the styrene-butadiene latex distribution in paper-coating layers is controlled in order to improve fold cracking in the coated paper; and a production method therefor. More specifically, the present invention relates to: a coated paper which markedly reduces fold cracking of the coated paper by respectively distributing styrene-butadiene copolymer latexes having different glass-transition temperatures and particle sizes in specific areas of paper-coating layers; and a production method therefor. The paper coating structure provided by the present invention is obtained by distributing a latex having a particle size of between 70 and 120 nm and a glass transition point of between 10 and 30°C in a coating layer nearer the base paper, and distributing a latex having a particle size of between 120 and 200 nm and a glass transition point of between -30 and 0°C in a coating layer further away. When latexes of different types are used by being divided between two layers as above, it is possible to obtain the advantage of substantial improvements in paper stiffness and fold cracking as compared with normal existing coated papers.
