<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately focusing on each layer of a bit system holographic disk subjected to multi-layer recording, and an actuator used in the same. <P>SOLUTION: Using a multistage actuator, one of optical heads or a plurality of optical components are driven. The multistage actuator includes a mutual layer displacement component configured such that the optical components are driven so that a beam is made incident on a target data layer, thereby changing the focal point of a beam within a displacement range corresponding to the thickness of a data layer in a holography disk. In addition, the multistage actuator includes an in-layer convergence component for driving the optical components within a smaller range in order to cause a beam to converge at a target data position. The mutual layer displacement component and the in-layer convergence component can respectively include a plurality of actuators. Further, the convergence component drives the optical components in an inclining motion in order to compensate for the movement or incompleteness of a disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
