<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert chip having high cooling capacity, which can perform welding free from high temperature cracks and undercuts at higher speed with a stable arc, and a plasma torch using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The insert chip includes: two electrode arrangement spaces; two nozzles communicating with each electrode arrangement space, respectively; and a V-type cooling water passage present at a plane crossing a plane where the two nozzles are distributed at the intermediate point of the two nozzles, and at which cooling water turns.
