<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intramedullary nail enabling a proximal end to be stably installed on the outside surface of a long bone when inserting the intramedullary nail obliquely into a medullary cavity from the outside surface of the long bone, and enabling an insertion part to be easily and surely inserted in the medullary cavity in a predetermined attitude. <P>SOLUTION: The intramedullary nail 10 for internally fixing the long bone includes the proximal end 11 arranged on the outside surface side of the long bone, and the insertion part 12 extended from the proximal end 11 and inserted in the medullary cavity of the long bone. The proximal end 11 includes a rear face 11c of cylindrical face shape formed along an axis 11x; a front face 11b of more flattened shape than the rear face 11c; and a fixing hole 11a penetrating the front and rear. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
