PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ester compound which is improved in defects of conventional chlorendic acid-based polyols, and which can be easily produced and is high in halogen concentration and suitably used, as a flame retardant, for polyurethane, polyester and the like, particularly for polyurethane foam.
SOLUTION: The ester composition is obtained by adding an alkylene oxide to a carboxyl of a ring-opening reaction product of a halogenated carboxylic anhydride by an alcohol. Preferably, the alcohol is an oxyalkylene glycol having molecular weight of 100-1,000 and/or a polyoxyalkylene glycol having number-average molecular weight of 100-1,000, and the halogenated carboxylic anhydride is an intramolecular anhydride of a divalent halogenated carboxylic acid.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
