SILICON/CARBON COMPOSITE MATERIAL, METHOD FOR THE SYNTHESIS THEREOF AND USE OF SUCH A MATERIAL

The invention relates to a silicon/carbon composite material, to a method for the synthesis thereof and to the use of such a material. The silicon/carbon composite material consists of an aggregate of silicon particles (1) and carbon particles, in which the silicon particles (1) and the carbon particles are dispersed. The carbon particles consist of at least three different types of carbon: a first type of carbon (2) being selected from non-porous spherical graphites, a second type of carbon (3) being selected from non-spherical graphites and a third type of carbon (4) being selected from porous electronically conductive carbons. The first and second types of carbon (2, 3) each have a mean particle size of 0.1 µm to 100 µm, and the third type of carbon (4) has a mean particle size no larger than 100 nanometres.
