PURPOSE: A construction method of color asphalt concrete and color asphalt concrete are provided to improve color rendering property and to maintain the color semi-permanently by mixing aggregate mixture, transparent or semi-transparent color pigment and binder. CONSTITUTION: A color asphalt concrete comprises 100.0 parts by weight of aggregate mixture which includes 94-99 weight% of aggregate and 1-6 weight% of filler and 5-8 parts by weight of transparent or semi-transparent binder and 0.1-2 parts by weight of pigment. A construction method of color asphalt concrete comprises the following steps: storing raw materials; heating aggregates; sorting and storing the aggregates; collecting dust; mixing the quantized aggregates, filler, dust, binder, and pigment in a mixer at 170-185 deg. Celsius; discharging color asphalt concrete; transferring the color asphalt concrete to the field; inspecting pave surface which the color asphalt concrete will be constructed; spreading prime coat ash or tack coat ash using an asphalt distributor; installing asphalt paver; hardening with a roller; welding; finishing; and opening the road.
