<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation stopping method for a fuel cell system, which can suppress CO poisoning of a catalyst in power generation stop and storage. <P>SOLUTION: This power generation stopping method for the fuel cell system includes: stopping extraction of a current from a fuel cell in a normal power generation state (a step 201); increasing a supply flow of air for CO oxidation to adjust density of the air for CO oxidation in a fuel electrode to be higher than that at the time of normal power generation, or reducing a supply amount of a fuel gas and increasing density of the air in the fuel electrode, thereby increasing a supply ratio of the air for CO oxidation supplied to the fuel electrode (a step 202); and furthermore, adjusting the supply flow of the air for CO oxidation so that a material amount of a sum total of oxygen contained in the air for CO oxidation and in the air supplied to an oxidant electrode is equal to or less than half of a material amount of hydrogen contained in the fuel gas supplied to the fuel electrode, subsequently stopping supply of the fuel gas and the air for CO oxidation to the fuel electrode, and at the same time, stopping supply of the air to the oxidant electrode (a step 203). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
