<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner composition that is improved to address a decrease in image glossiness due to residual aluminum ions in an emulsion aggregation process, which often can be a problem, as well as a manufacturing method of the toner composition. <P>SOLUTION: A process for manufacturing toner includes determining desirable glossiness for given toner, and determining the desirable amount of aluminum in the toner to obtain the glossiness. The solid content of emulsion, the mixing speed during an aggregation process, and temperature at the end of the aggregation are selected to obtain toner particles containing the desirable amount of aluminum, that is, to obtain desirable glossiness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
