PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an image quality desired by a user, to a taken image.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a storage part for storing image quality setting information; and a control part. The image quality setting information includes image quality information to be used for image processing and a reference value indicating an exposure correction amount corresponding to the image quality information. The control part compares a setting value set as an exposure correction amount in imaging with the reference value of the image quality setting information and executes processing appropriate to the result of the comparison.
